Spring Sports Breakdown

It’s that time of year again with Winter winding down and Summer just peeking through. With the debut of Centerary’s Spring sports, it is going to be a very exciting semester! This Spring, the Gents and Ladies will compete in a variety of sports to bring home wins for the college in hopes to move onto the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) tournaments at the end of their regular seasons. You can keep an eye on the schedules of baseball, softball, stunt, gymnastics, lacrosse, golf, and track and field on the Centenary athletics website so you will be sure to not miss a great upcoming season.

These sports have worked vigorously in the off-season to prepare for a competitive schedule with gymnastics having started their season January 11, 2026, in Nashville, TN. Along with this, Lacrosse will be kicking off their season very soon competing against LaGrange on Saturday, January 31, at home, so be sure to be there! The following day our stunt ladies will be on the mat down in Lake Charles, LA to debut their first season as an official NCAA sport. The following weekend baseball, softball, track and field will begin their seasons in three different cities. Though the beginning of each sport’s regular season is away, there will be plenty of opportunities to see them at Centenary later in the season.

With the addition of LeTourneau University and College in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, it will be interesting to see how the conference adjusts to new competition and how the Gents and Ladies will respond. It is no secret that the spring sports are coming off of a competitive last season and have the intention of building upon the already impressive reputation that is Centenary athletics. It is sure to be an exciting season for athletics and don't worry if you can not make it to an away game, meet, or competition, there are livestream services provided by the opposing teams that you can access closer to the beginning of competition. When Centenary is hosting a team there are season tickets that can be purchased for all spring sports. These will be able to be purchased closer to the season openings of each sport. This season is bound to be a great one with the college coming off of the bicentennial seasons for the fall sports. With school spirit, determination, and grit, these sports should have very successful seasons to remember. So bring your family, friends, and foam fingers and support your Centenary Houlas this season! If you have any questions or interests in the spring sports, visit the centenary athletic website to gain information about game times, locations, and results. Go Houlas!
